Student of Ag Store
What your purchase supports
Hi, my name is Riata Chappell, and I am a high school FFA student launching two meaningful initiatives through my Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) project to serve my community and support the next generation of agricultural leaders.
First, I am creating a sponsorship program for first-time livestock exhibitors. This program will help cover the cost of purchasing an animal as well as the feed needed to raise it to finished weight. For many students, the financial barrier is the biggest obstacle to participating in livestock shows. My goal is to bridge that gap, open doors, and give more youth the opportunity to experience agriculture, responsibility, and leadership through showing livestock.
Second, I am in the process of establishing a show cattle breeding program. Through this program, I will provide competitive, high-quality show cattle at reasonable prices to students who want to raise and show beef. This project is about more than cattle—it’s about mentorship, education, and building confidence in young people who are passionate about agriculture.
I will also be sharing my journey through my Student of Ag social media platforms, where I document my experiences, challenges, and lessons learned—both the successes and the mistakes—to encourage and educate other students and future farmers.
Your support will directly help fund animals, feed, and the foundation of these programs, allowing me to make a real impact in my community and in the lives of young exhibitors.
Thank you for believing in agriculture, youth, and the future.
